Lecture by Dr. Lucia Pinelli as part of the Doctoral Program in Humanism and Technologies
On Monday, September 9, 2024, from 3 PM to 6 PM, the University of Macerata will host a seminar by Dr. Lucia Pinelli, the scientific director of the website «Mirabile. Archivio digitale della cultura latina medievale». The event, aimed at doctoral students, researchers, professors, and interested students, offers the opportunity to learn about and analyze AdriHum. Humanistic Cultural territories across the Sea, born from the collaboration between the Department of Humanities of UNIMC and the International Society for the Study of Medieval Latin-S.I.S.M.E.L. It investigates the intellectual space and literary production that developed between Italy and Dalmatia, from the late Middle Ages to the end of the Humanistic age.
The new database, directed by Prof. Silvia Fiaschi, was launched at the beginning of 2023, thanks to a post-doctoral fellowship awarded to Dr. Chiara Kravina. It includes another project, Adri.Hum.Texts. – Texts and Textual Traditions of the Adriatic Humanism (XIVth-XVIth Centuries), which specifically focuses on the textual analysis of works written by authors who operated between the continental West and the Adriatic and Greek-Byzantine East, from the 14th to the 16th century. This is the digital archive hosted within Re.Medi.Hum. (Renaissance, Medieval and Humanistic Digital Library), a collection of the Digital Library of the University of Macerata, called Nexhum. AdriHum and Adri.Hum.Texts. synergistically contribute to the enhancement of Mirabile by introducing new elements and detailed information, thereby enriching the material available to the academic community concerning prominent figures such as Daniele Clario, Lorenzo Regini, Lorenzo Guidetti, Niccolò de’ Resti, Elio Lampridio Cerva, Raffaele Zovenzoni, Tideo Acciarini, Gilberto Grineo, Paolo Paladini e Bonino Bonini.
The lecture will take place in Room D of the Faculty of Philosophy (via Garibaldi, 20). Participation is welcome, but it will also be possible to attend online through the U&T doctoral course’s Teams virtual classroom at the following link: https://tinyurl.com/dottorato-umantec.
