The Codex Study Day has now reached its eleventh edition, an academic initiative that has become a reference point for research on the manuscript tradition and on the many interdisciplinary perspectives that this field continues to inspire.
As part of the international celebrations marking the 650th anniversary of the death of Giovanni Boccaccio (1375–2025), the 2025 Study Day is dedicated to the Itinerarium Boccaccianum: a valuable opportunity to explore new perspectives on the author and on the transmission and reception of his works, also through the tools offered by the digital humanities. During the event, the new interactive atlas will be presented, offering a geo-referenced mapping of places, scribes, and textual traditions linked to the fortune of Boccaccio in Italy.
📍The conference, as usual hosted at the headquarters of S.I.S.M.E.L. – The International Society for the Study of Medieval Latin (Florence) and organized under the patronage of the Ente Nazionale Giovanni Boccaccio, will take place on 24–25 November 2025.
🌐The event will also be accessible online via the Teams link: Nuovo_Codex.
